Business Trainee – Hunter Valley

Location: Muswellbrook, NSW

Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships specialise in the employment of Apprentices and Trainees and the design and delivery of nationally accredited training.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Trainee to join our team and be hosted with a leading organisation in the Hunter Valley. This full-time, 12-month traineeship will provide valuable hands-on experience in a professional office environment while completing a Nationally Recognised Certificate III in Business.

This opportunity is ideal for school leavers, recent graduates, or mature-age applicants looking to start or restart their career.

About the Role

As a Business Trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals and gain practical experience supporting a busy office environment. You will develop a broad range of administrative and business skills while receiving ongoing mentoring and support throughout your traineeship.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • General administration and office support
  • Data entry and record management
  • Assisting with reports, documents, and correspondence
  • Answering phone and email enquiries
  • Scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars
  • Filing, scanning, and document control
  • Supporting various business functions and projects as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • A current driver's licence and reliable transport (essential, as there is no public transport access)
  • A genuine commitment to completing a 12-month traineeship
  • A positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Excel (highly regarded)
  • The ability to provide contactable work and/or school references
